Woodcraft at Greenbrier includes hiking, pioneering, and caving. In morning classes, boys learn the art of building a campfire, making sassafras tea, pitching a tent, identifying local plants and animals, and using a compass, as well as many other outdoor skills.
The overnight hike to Keeney’s Knob challenges older campers and rewards them with a breathtaking view of the Alleghany Mountains. Several local caves provide campers with numerous exciting obstacles. Every camper gets the chance to go on overnight hikes and sleep under the stars.
