House Party Waitlist
Just a quick announcement to let everyone know that we have a short waitlist for several nights during House Party (family camp), including the nights of August 6, 7, 8, and 9 (House Party runs from Sunday, August 4 through Sunday, August 18, 2024). Spots may open up and there may be room somewhere outside of the main Tent Area during those dates, but please call or email to inquire about availability prior to sending in your Reservation if it includes any of the nights from August 6 through August 9.
If you are interested in attending our family camp to check out things for your son, please consider coming for any number of days between Wednesday, August 14 and Sunday, August 18. This gives you the chance to sleep in the beds, eat in the Mess Hall, enjoy the beautiful Greenbrier River, and meet the folks who will be taking care of your camper during Boys Camp. We’d love to have you join us!
Spring Clean Up 2024!
It’s Spring Cleaning time at Camp Greenbrier! Come join us Memorial Day Weekend. We will be there from the evening of Friday, May 24 to the early afternoon of Monday, May 27, 2024. We will feed you and put you up in the Chenault, our very best accommodations! Come the whole time, or only for a day. We will find something that matches your unique skills – painting, cleaning, putting up tents, or something else! There will be time for a dip in the river (for the brave!), sitting around the campfire, telling stories, and ping pong in the Big Library.
If you are interested, send an email to info@campgreenbrier.com, or contact us through the Contact Us tab here on our website. We look forward to hearing from you!

Finding Thunder Eggs
A Thunder Egg is a rare concretion of iron ore found in Muddy Creek, a tributary of the Greenbrier River. Campers take Sunday morning hikes to Muddy Creek to search for this elusive Thunder Egg.
Keeney’s Knob Hike
Keeney’s Knob is the highest point in Summers County, West Virginia. The city nearest to Keeney’s Knob is Alderson, WV. For a challenging experience, the Seniors hike to the summit, sleep under the stars, and return to Camp the next morning.
Spoon on Nose
There are many skills you will learn at camp. Some are quite important, like getting along with your tent mates. Others, well, they are just fun!
Although this may not exactly be routine, it is joyful to first learn how to hang a spoon from your nose.
